Our Mission

The Kwiga Project’s mission is to build a digital ecosystem in Burundi that can sustainably transform the country’s future.

We want to:

  • Restore confidence among Burundian youth giving them the means to master digital tools and innovate.

  • Strengthen the role of universities in order to train a new generation of talented individuals skilled in the technologies of the future.

  • Bring together public, private, and academic institutions around a common vision of digital development.

In practice, we are taking action to:

    • Create training and experimentation spaces focused on the cloud and new technologies.

    • Establish bridges between local and international universities through internships, exchanges, and training programs.

    • Develop strong partnerships with businesses and public authorities in order to anchor the project in the local community.

Our goal is simple: to make Burundi a land of digital talent, open to the world, capable of innovating and actively contributing to the economy of tomorrow.
